PEACE attended the ITW

Recently the International Telecom Week 2019(ITW) was held in Atlanta, America. It’s a world-class event that the telecom operators from all over the world and the providers presenting network, voice, data, SMS will show their latest product solutions and technologies. PEACE team attended this event as one of the attending companies. During this event, PEACE had meetings with several world-renowned telecom operators and OTTs. Those world telecom giants expressed their interest to cooperate with PEACE cable.

Hengtong Signed the Landing Party Agreement with Telecom Egypt for PEACE

The Landing Party Agreement for PEACE cable system was signed between Telecom Egypt, Hengtong and PCCW Global on 27th April, 2019 in Beijing during the second One Belt And One Road summit. In the presence of the minister of telecommunication of Egypt Dr. Amr Talaat and the chairman of Hengtong Group Mr. Cui Genliang, Mr. Adel Hamed, CEO of Telecom Egypt, Mr. Wu Qianjun, VP of Hengtong Group and CEO of PEACE, Mr. Jordick Wong, senior VP of PCCW Global, together signed the agreement. Also Mr. Tan Huiliang, the CEO of Hengtong International Business Unit signed the strategic cooperation LOI with Telecom Egypt. According to the deal, both parties will keep enhancing the cooperation with each other, including Telecom Egypt purchasing fiber cables from Hengtong and Hengtong buying the crossing Egypt fiber from Telecom Egypt.

Hengtong bringing first carrier neutral open submarine cable system to Pakistan

A Cable Landing Party Agreement has been signed between PEACE Cable International Network Co., Ltd. (PEACE) and Cyber Internet Services Pvt Ltd. This landmark agreement, signed on 16-April-2019 at Capacity North Africa in Cairo, follows a Memorandum of Understanding signed by both parties in 2018.

Orange and PCCW Global team up to land the new PEACE submarine cable in France

During Capacity Europe 2018, the largest carrier event in Europe, Orange & PCCW Global have announced a partnership for the new submarine cable PEACE (Pakistan & East Africa Connecting Europe), a 12,000 km long, privately owned system expected to be ready for service in 2020.

PCCW Global and HENGTONG Group to connect three continents with high speed PEACE cable project

PCCW Global, the international operating division of HKT, Hong Kong’s premier telecommunications service provider, and Chinese technology and industrial giant, the HENGTONG Group, have signed a cooperation agreement to connect China to Europe and Africa via the Pakistan East Africa Connecting Europe (PEACE) undersea cable project, a new high-speed connection which is planned to go live in early 2020.

PEACE Cable Initiating Landing Cooperation with Pakistan and Djibouti

PEACE Cable International Network Co., Ltd. (PEACE Cable) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and landing party agreement with Pakistan network service provider Cybernet and Djibouti Telecom during the 4th Asia-Pacific Submarine Networks Forum. Remaining landing party agreements will also be signed within the next two weeks, representing a key milestone in the delivery plan which includes the permit application work in each country.

The Marine Survey for Huawei Marine’s PEACE Project is Underway

Huawei Marine has announced today that the marine survey for its PEACE (Pakistan & East Africa Connecting Europe) project is now underway. The PEACE submarine cable system will connect Pakistan, Djibouti, Kenya, Egypt, and other countries along the Red Sea with a total system length of 8,800km. The project was signed in November 2017, and is expected to be delivered in the fourth quarter of 2019.
